may the circle be unbroken
well fellow ironists, i think it's time to close the book on this blog. at its peak, this was a vibrant crossroads of discussion and (occasionally heated) debate, but as you know in recent years the postings have diminished to a trickle, and it makes sense to acknowledge the absence of interest and focus my energies on other things. somehow this night, here on the eve of great change, seems like the proper milestone at which to do so.
it's been quite a ride for us all since this forum began 6 years ago, as a group of friends and in a larger way as Americans. i like to believe that despite the scattering of ways for our little circle, we'll stay connected somehow as the years roll on. thanks to everyone who participated in this community and made it worth coming back to every day. i've left the archive up for anyone who's interested, but this will be the last posting.
if you're interested, you can follow my continuing adventures over at strangebutharmless.com, or on my flickr page. my lovely wife Joriel has ballsy, and we have a family blog you can register for called the foltzenhaley report.
finally, please come visit us in our lovely western city whenever the mood strikes; we're always up for good company, and it doesn't rain here nearly as much as they say. :) until then...
